Happy New Year!

We made a noise-maker with a toilet paper roll and beans. Our breakfast was pancakes in the shape of bells. With bananas in the shape of bananas.

Day One of Potty-Training:  There was poop on my floor. And I should get more stickers.

I got two fillings done. Three or four to go, and a crown (for a tooth I broke while drinking!). My anxiety was way worse than the procedure. But I was sore for hours afterwards.

Tonight was a bath night. I had to wash my oldest's hair because he found a tube of mascara earlier. The youngest got washed because he drools a lot and has formula and breast milk on his chest on the regular.

Sky Nail

The three of us were sitting on my bed, and my oldest took my phone, pressed the Siri button and said, 

"Call Roger" 

In his sweet, funny, little-boy voice. I looked at him dumbfounded and we locked eyes while he tried to assess how I felt about his antics. I said, 

"Oh my goodness, that was great! I didn't know you were listening to Mommy that closely!"

We grinned at each other. 

I gave my youngest (who has the greatest smile!) a few bites of hummus this afternoon. He seemed to like it more than his banana. Go figure. 

I literally pray to my Higher Power that my youngest will sleep through the night. For the most part, my prayers have been unanswered. I also pray we all make it through the night, I give thanks, and ask for strength. 

I got my nails done, along with my mom and sis, at Sky Nail. They are super-nice and do good work there. 

So far so good.

Christmas and Coughing

First of all, I'm watching Christmas movies.

I saved 27% at Jewel and 45% at Walgreens. I shopped sales and used my coupons. I was able to purchase Covergirl eyeshadow for 36 cents because they were on clearance and I had a high-value coupon.

I ordered 88 photos from Walgreens using a coupon exclusively for their mobile app. I saved 30%.

My oldest baby is sick! I can hear him coughing. He was delirious and weird and mad and needy today. Thank goodness my mother took him for a little while.

Baby crying! Gotta get him.

No Costco

I had plans to go to Costco with my boys and sister today. But one of my boys has a fever and is sickly. So we couldn't go. I'm pretty disappointed. But I know I did the right thing by my boy.

I had a new plan involving a timer, cleaning and other projects and it just didn't work out. So now I'm bummed because I feel like I didn't focus on either my kids, house, or projects. What in the hell did I do all day?

Snapfish

I just ordered 100 free prints from Snapfish and I'm worried my order will be ruined like last time. Wish me luck!

Today I need to go to the pediatricians office to clear up insurance stuff. And I need to buy our insurance!

My father-in-law will be here tonight.

Me and the boys are going to Jammin' Jungle play date.
Or is it Jumpin' Jungle? Anyway, it's an indoor playground, and it's free! I'm excited.

Dental Playgroup

Me and the boys went to a play date today! In the Northbrook Mall. They have an indoor playlot with a giant fake tree. My oldest took my hand and asked me to play, but was just about to nurse. A little bittersweet. I also met a mom I would like to chat with again.

I bought pediatric dental insurance but was informed by insurance company that I couldn't take my son to my chosen dentist because we wouldn't be covered. Yeah, I'm pissed.
